New York State DEC Has Announced
Increased Fees and Changes for 2009 – 2010 Season
Important Facts about changes:
¯ New season licenses go on sale the middle of August with increased fees
¯ Senior Licenses will be available to individuals when they reach age 70 instead of 65
¯ Lifetime Licenses are sold at the current season rate (and rules) until October 1st.
¯ Currently a Senior Lifetime License for an individual age 65 and older is $50. This
includes: Small/Big Game, Turkey, Fishing & a waived fee for DMP.
¯ After October 1st, a Senior Lifetime License will increase to $65, will only be available to
those 70+ and will not include the waived fee for DMP.
¯ If you are age 65 – 69 and purchase a license each year, you may want to consider
purchasing a Senior Lifetime License before October 1st.
¯ All Lifetime Licenses will remain at current season rates until October 1st for all ages for
anyone considering purchasing a Lifetime License.
