RESPONSIBLE FOR: All matters pertaining to the interpretation and application of the Town's zoning ordinance. The Town Planner also prepares or coordinates the preparation of information that leads to periodic updates to the Town's Official Map, Zoning Map, and Comprehensive Plan. The Town Planner serves as staff for the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation Advisory Council, Niskayuna Economic Development Committee, Architectural Review Board, and the Town Board on planning and zoning-related matters. The Town Planner also researches grant opportunities and coordinates and prepares grant applications. The Secretary serves as staff for the Planning
Board and Zoning Board of Appeals and is responsible for the minutes of their meetings, coordinating their agendas and assisting the Town Planner.
