AT THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 14TH DAY OF JUNE 2012, AT 7: 00 PM AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN BOARD ROOM, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT;

Resolution 2012-149 acknowledging the accomplishments of Ken Omiya for is short film, “The Hollow”, Maddie Rojas Lynch for her film “Maddie Takes the Wheel”, Emily Forman for her film “A Blind Eye”, Matt Lingenfelter for his film “Noir” and Joshua Dodway for his film “Leap”.
Supervisor Landry acknowledged the death of John Brown, who was instrumental in developing the trail system in the Town and for many years held a position on the Conservation Advisory Council. The supervisor asked for a moment of silence.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Linda Rizzo, 2229 Fairlawn Parkway, thanked the board for resolution 2012-144
Mary Jane Lambeth , 1937 Holiday Drive, spoke to concerns regarding resolution 2012-146 which authorizes a handicap ramp to be built on a town easement.
When no other members of the public wished to be heard, Supervisor Landry closed Privilege of the Floor.
The following resolutions were approved with a vote of fives ayes unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2012-144 urges the New York State Senate to pass the New York State Fair Pay Act.
Resolution 2012-145 calls for a public hearing on proposed consolidated Water District 1 Extension #166.
Resolution 2012-146 authorizes the supervisor to enter into an agreement to permit construction of a handicap entrance ramp within a town easement.
Resolution 2012-147 takes action to authorize the execution of an outside user sewer agreement.
Resolution 2012-148 employs additional persons in the Niskayuna recreation program, highway and parks department and the water and sewer department.
There being no further business to come before the Town Board, Supervisor Landry adjourned the meeting.
