AT THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 15TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2012, AT 7: 00 PM AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN BOARD ROOM, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT;

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Bruce Trachtenberg, 2350 Barcelona Road, has concerns with the amount of police officers on staff and would like to add three more officers.
Janice Mansfield, 2 Brookhaven Dr. commends the staff at the Senior Center and the programs they are providing. The Center has been an asset to the Town.
Frank Morrello, Resident of City of Schenectady, is a member of the Niskayuna Senior Center and is very happy with the staff at the Senior Center.
Leslie Gold, 1919 Pawtucket Ave, has concerns with the fact that the developer of Hummingbird Manor has not put in the sidewalk along Consaul Road. She is glad that the Hummingbird Manor Homeowners Association is helping with the cost to put the sidewalk in.
Marvin Weaver, 3 Frank Street, Schenectady, has high regards for all of the staff at the senior center and is honored to be a member of the Niskayuna Senior Center.
Loren Zabin, 2455 Brookshire Drive, would like to have a summary of the trips for a 3 or 4 month period so that seniors can plan ahead.
Charles McAvoy, Resident of the City of Schenectady, enjoys every minute of the time he spends at the Senior Center.
Richard Ratajak, 701 Vly Pointe Drive, Councilwoman McDonnell read a letter from the resident in support of the Niskayuna Senior Center which is attached.
Public Hearing No. 1 to consider an amendment to the Code of the Town of Niskayuna that would allow a veteran, the spouse of the veteran or unremarried surviving spouse already receiving an exemption pursuant to Real Property Tax Law section 458-a, as adopted by the Town in section 197-5 of the Code of the Town of Niskayuna, to transfer the exemption to another property purchased within the Town.
When no members of the public wished to be heard, Supervisor Landry closed the public hearing.
Public Hearing No2., A public hearing upon the preliminary budget of the Town of Niskayuna for the calendar year 2013.
Bruce Trachtenberg, 2350 Barcelona Road, would like the Budget for 2013 increased to increase the number of police officers in the Town of Niskayuna.
Lorene Zabin, 2455 Brookshire Drive, is concerned that the Preliminary Budget for 2013 is a true budget.
Supervisor Landry announced that on November 20, 2012 there will be a meeting to pass the 2013 Budget at 7:00 pm.
When no other members of the public wished to be heard, Supervisor Landry closed the public hearing.
The following resolutions were approved with a vote of five ayes unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2012-246 accepts an easement at the Mohawk Golf Club.
Resolution 2012-247 accepts an easement at the Mohawk Golf Club.
Resolution 2012-248 accepts an easement at the Mohawk Golf Club.
Resolution 2012-249 accepts a gift to construct a sidewalk along Consaul Road.
Resolution 2012-250 accepts a bid for the Hillside Avenue water main installation and roadway reconstruction project.
There being no further business to come before the Town Board, Supervisor Landry adjourned the meeting.
