AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2001 AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT;

A Public Hearing was held to consider the adoption of legislation regulating the establishment and location of adult use businesses.
Councilman Chapman stated that currently the Town has no regulations on where adult uses can be located in Niskayuna. Municipalities can regulate potential secondary impacts of adult entertainment. A moratorium is proposed that would temporarily prohibit adult uses.
When no members of the public wished to be heard, the Supervisor closed the public hearing.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Leslie Gold, 1919 Pawtucket Avenue, stated that she hoped when the Town hires a consultant to study adult business use that there is a provision for that person to meet with the Comprehensive Plan Committee.
Resolution 2001-237, appoints Timothy J. Nagell, to the position of Chief Water Plant Operator effective retroactive from July 13 at a base salary of $19.16/hour.
Resolution 2001-238, authorizes the Supervisor to retain Chazen Engineering to provide a boundary survey and topographic survey of the Community Center on Aqueduct Road at a cot of $13,500.
Resolution 2001-239, authorizes the purchase and installation of fencing surrounding the Skateboard Park from Haley Brothers at a cost not to exceed $9,844.
Resolution 2001-240, authorizes the disposal of oil and paint products from the Highway Garage at a cost of $1,950.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the Supervisor declared the meeting adjourned.
