AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 6TH OF MAY, 2003, AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK IN SAID TOWN, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
When no members of the public wished to be heard, the Supervisor closed Privilege of the Floor.
The following resolutions were approved with a vote of four ayes (Councilman Holt was absent) unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2003-110 appoints Sally Kehl, 2301 Barkley Avenue to the full time position of Clerical Aide at the Water & Sewer Maintenance Office on a provisional basis, at a Grade 7 on Step 2 at a rate of compensation of $23,816.00.
Resolution 2003-111 authorizes the purchase and installation of a pump and the installation of a motor at Well No. 8 by Layne Christensen Company at a cost not to exceed $3,740, and authorizes the purchase of a motor at a cost not to exceed $2,670 from Emerick Associates.
Resolution 2003-112 authorizes the purchase of a pump for the Balltown North pump station from Siewert Equipment at a cost of $4,415.00.
Resolution 2003-113 makes budgetary modifications and transfers of funds in the 2002 budget.
Resolution 2003-114 promotes Gloria Duck to the position of Confidential Secretary to the Legal Department and Public Works Department on a provisional basis, at a Grade 10, Step 11 at a yearly salary of $38,250 effective retroactive to May 5, 2003.
Resolution 2003-115 authorizes the sale of unused computer equipment to Peter Kent, 2151 Lynwood Drive, at a total cost of $100.
Resolution 2003-116 increases the rate of compensation for temporary seasonal laborers as follows: 1st year $8.00/hr.; 2nd year $8.50/hr; 3rd year $9.00/hr.; and 4th year $9.50/hour.
Resolution 2003-117 appoints Brian Casey and Kelly Capitummino to the position of seasonal laborers in the Water & Sewer Department.
Resolution 2003-118 authorizes disposal of yard waste by William Biers, Port of Albany, at a cost of $4.00 per cubic yard not to exceed a total of $12,000.
Resolution 2003-119 authorizes Copeland Coating Company to provide all material and labor to crack seal and repair striping on two basketball courts and seven tennis courts in the Blatnick Park and Avon Crest Park facilities for a total not to exceed $2,400.
Resolution 2003-120 employs additional persons to work for Recreation Programs.
Resolution 2003-121 authorizes soliciting of sealed bids for the sale of used vehicles to be opened May 19, 2003.
Resolution 2003-122 appoints James M. Majewski to the position of Civilian Police Dispatcher, effective May 19, on a permanent basis, and at a salary of $23, 290.
At this time the Supervisor requested that the Board go into Executive Session to discussion the employment history of a specific individual.
There being no further business to come before the Town Board, the Supervisor declared the meeting adjourned.
