AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 3RD OF JUNE, 2003, AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN OFFICE BUILIDNG, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:

Others present: Helen Kopke, Town Clerk; Eric Dickson, Town Attorney; Darryl Ostrander, Deputy Police Chief; Richard Pollock, Superintendent of Water & Sewer.
A Public Hearing was held to consider an amendment to the Dangerous Buildings Law of the Town. This amendment corrects an error of language within the law.
When no members of the public wished to be heard, the Supervisor closed the public hearing.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR

The following resolutions were approved with a vote of four ayes (Councilwoman Kasper was absent) unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2003- 142 appoints David Watchorn AT $8.50 per hour and Aaron Arnold at $8.00 per hour as seasonal laborers in the Water & Sewer Department.
Resolution 2003-143 appoints David Eisenstein to the position of part-time recycling attendant for assignment on an as-needed basis at the Transfer Station at a rate of compensation of $9.614 per hour, without benefits.
Resolution 2003- 144 appoints Kelly Wetzel to the part-time position of Youth Court Clerk in the Justice Department, at a rate of compensation of $12.50 per hour, without benefits, not to exceed 80 hours per month, retroactive to June 2, 2003.
Resolution 2003- 145 accepts an alternate bid for the purchase of a used vehicle from A. A. Blacktop for a 1984 Chevrolet Van at a price of $90.
Resolution 2003- 146 authorizes the Supervisor to renew a one-year agreement with National Employee Assistant Service at a cost of $22.92 per employee per year to provide employee assistance services pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in the agreement.
Resolution 2003- 147 employs additional persons in the Recreation Program.
Resolution 2003- 148 authorizes the purchase of a 16-channel Mirra S2 Digital Mainframe Recorder for the Police Department at a total cost, including installation, not to exceed $14,900.
At this time, at the request of Supervisor Smith, the Town Board voted to go into Executive Session to discussion a pending legal issue.
There being no further business to come before the Town Board, the Supervisor declared the meeting adjourned.
