AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF MARCH, 2005, AT THE NISKAYUNA TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:

TOWN CLERK’S BUSINESS
The minutes of the meeting of February 15, 2005 were approved with corrections.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
When no members of the public wished to be heard, Supervisor Smith closed Privilege of the Floor.
The following resolutions were approved with a vote of five ayes unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2005-67 accepts a bid from Spectrum Building Systems, for materials, labor and equipment for the construction and installation of a modular office building at the Water Treatment Plant site located on Lock 7 Road at a cost not to exceed $60,688.
Resolution 2005- 68 authorizes the purchase and installation of a Power Conditioner from POM Energy Concepts, to provide energy savings, surge and spike protection, and improved power quality at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, at a cost not to exceed $7,000.
Resolution 2005- 69 appoints Matthew Yetto, 2208 Clifton Park Road, to the position of Junior Civil Engineer on a permanent basis, effective immediately.
Resolution 2005-70 authorizes Paul Sebesta to attend the New York State Government Finance Officers Association Annual Sprint Conference on April 6-8, 2005 at a cost of $160.
Resolution 2005- 71 appoints Kelly Wetzel, 34 Hadel Road, Glenville, to the position of part time clerk for the Justice Department, without benefits, not to exceed 20 hours per week, effective retroactive to January 1, 2005 at a salary of $12.00 per hour.
Resolution 2005- 72 authorizes the Supervisor to enter into a lease agreement with Eastern Office Supply of Schenectady for the leasing of a Sharp Digital Copier System in the Justice Department for a period of 36 months, at a cost of $97.61 per month with a 10% buyout option.
Resolution 2005-73 authorizes the Supervisor to petition the Town Superintendent of Highways to make an Order laying out the land located to the rear of the Niskayuna Community Center.
Resolution 2005- 74 accepts a bid from Cyncon Equipment, for a 2005 Johnson/Freighliner Vacuum Sweeper, with trade in of a 1990 Elgin Pelican Premier for a total cost of $141,960.
Resolution 2005- 75 appoints Bethany A. Vena, 3534 Grandview Avenue, to the position of Civilian Police Dispatcher, effective March 22, 2005 on a permanent basis, at a rate of compensation of $29,269 per year.
At this time, Supervisor Smith, with the authorization of the Town Board, went into Executive Session to discuss a particular employee’s employment history.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Supervisor Smith adjourned the meeting.
