PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
When no members of the public wished to he heard, Supervisor Landry closed Privilege of the Floor.
The following resolution was approved with a vote of three ayes (Councilwoman McDonnell and Councilwoman O’Donnell were absent).
Resolution 2009-150 accepts certain streets in the Fieldstone Estates Planned Unit Development. Councilwoman Kasper was concerned that because lot lines abutted the path and there was no buffer if the Town ever needed to perform work in this area.
After a lengthy discussion, it was decided to make an amendment (motion made by Councilwoman Kasper, which was seconded by Councilwoman Freund) to the original wording stating “whereas this acceptance is conditioned on the conveyance to the Town of a small portion of the southern most corner of Lot 13 and the northeast corner of Lot 14 the dimensions of which will be based on need to accommodate a culvert and the side of the walking path, and also include a berm at the parking lot next to the townhouses overlooking the multi-use path.”
The Board was assured that the 80’ minimum frontage requirements would still be met after this amendment.
Councilwoman Kasper was also concerned that the Stop sign going onto Consaul Road was installed very far over to the right. It needed to be placed here because there wasn’t enough room between the multi-use path and the road. The County will be requested to take down some trees on Consaul Road to help improve site lines. It was decided that the word “Stop” could be painted onto the roadway as an added precaution.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Supervisor Landry adjourned the meeting.
