AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NISKAYUNA DULY CALLED AND HELD ON THE 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 2011, AT 7:00 PM AT THE NISKAYUNA OFFICE BUILDING, ONE NISKAYUNA CIRCLE, NISKAYUNA, NEW YORK, THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
Lorene Zabin, 2455 Brookshire Drive, questioned information regarding a budget meeting earlier in the evening. She commented the budget is scheduled to be voted on after Election Day and she believes it should be passed before.
Economic Development Committee: Councilman McKinney reports Shop Rite is finally open as is CVS. Chipotle, Vitamin World, Gentleman’s Warehouse and Sleepy’s are all slated to open soon at Mansion Square.
Police and Safety Committee: Councilwoman Kasper reports the department is all set with dispatchers.
Senior Programs Committee: Councilwoman Kasper reports attendance was high at the last meeting. They try to schedule the meetings when it’s convenient.
Public Works and Transportation Committee: Councilwoman McGraw reports paving is now completed and loose leaf pickup is beginning this week.
Soon you will be able to access and pay your water bill online with a credit card or electronic check.
Education, Parks and Recreation Committee: Councilwoman McDonnell reports the success of the Fall Soccer season with about 850 registrants. They are now getting ready for the indoor sports registrations. She is pleased to report the revenue for most of the programs for 2011 have exceeded expenditures. They have had over 5,600 registrations so far this year and doing very well. She thanks Lori Peretti for managing the program so well.
The following resolutions were approved with a vote of five ayes unless otherwise noted.
Resolution 2011-194, appoints Michael J. Borowski to the position of Water and Sewer Maintenance Worker in the Water and Sewer Department on a permanent basis.
Resolution 2011-195, appoints Michael Del Vecchio to membership oon the Board of Assessment Review for a term of office to expire on September 30, 2016.
Resolution 2011-196, makes certain budget modifications to the 2011 budget.
Resolution 2011-197, calls for a Public Hearing on the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Niskayuna for 2012.
Resolution 2011-198, authorizes the repair of a bulldozer for the Highway Department.
Resolution 2011-199, authorizes the purchase of desktop computers for use by the Town Administrative Offices.
Resolution 2011-200, authorizes advertising for bids for the purchase of Public Works equipment.
Resolution 2011-201, authorizes and directs that advertisement be made for bids on the purchase by the Town in 2012 of required quantities of materials needed for Public Works.
Resolution 2011-202, calls for a Public Hearing to make a determination on SEQR for an application for a Special Use Permit to allow seating at the Pizza Buono take-out restaurant at 1741 Union Street.
Resolution 2011-203, authorizes the sale of certain surplus Town equipment.
Resolution 2011-204, authorizes the supervisor to enter into an agreement to permit installation of water and sanitary sewer lines within a town easement.
Resolution 2011-205, authorizes the purchase of a pump for the Lishakill Pump Station.
There being no further business to come before the Town Board, Supervisor Landry adjourned the meeting.
