PURPOSE: Treatment of the 1.7 million gallons per day of sanitary waste produced in Sewer District #6, one of two such districts that together serve 97% of the Town.
SERVICE AREA: Includes approximately 70% of the Town, principally the areas east of Balltown Road. Another 25% of the Town is served by Sewer District #1, whose effluent flows to the treatment plant in the City of Schenectady.
SERVICE COSTS: Sanitary sewer cost is billed on the January Town/County tax bill. These charges are shown as units with single-family homes paying a flat charge.
