ALERT
The Niskayuna Police Department has seen a recent rash of vehicle break-ins which has resulted in property losses of thousands of dollars. The reports have come from throughout the Town and not any one particular neighborhood or area. These larcenies all have one thing in common however, and that is ALL VEHICLES WERE LEFT UNLOCKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OR IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE. Items being stolen from vehicles include GPS units, wallets containing credit cards and cash, cell phones, lap top computers and other very valuable items. The Police Department is out patrolling the neighborhoods but we need your help. All residents are strongly reminded to remove all valuables from your vehicle and LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS EVEN IF IT IS IN YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY. This problem is not unique to
Niskayuna as it is occurring throughout the region but with your help we can hopefully deter these crimes from being committed here. Please call the Niskayuna Police at 374-3159 if you hear or see anything suspicious such as an interior vehicle light on, or car doors opening or closing which appear to be out of the ordinary.
