Beginning July 1, 2004, disabled veterans in need of transportation to the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York, will be able to request the use of a van provided by the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #88 of Schenectady County. Transportation requests must be made one week in advance of the scheduled date of the medical appointment. Pick up schedule is as follows:
6:30 a.m. Kmart, Route 50, Glenville
6:45 a.m. Veterans Center on Gerling Street
7:00 a.m. Wal-Mart, Altamont Avenue
7:15 a.m. Dunkin Donuts on I-88 & Thruway entrance.
The van will operate Monday through Friday at the times and places listed above, and will return from the medical center at approximately 2:30 p.m.
