Mohawk Road Water Main Break Follow-up
The water main break that occurred Wednesday afternoon (October 16, 2013) on Mohawk Road was repaired last night, and water service to residents along Mohawk Road was restored by 5 a.m. Thursday morning. Fortunately, a boil-water order was NOT necessary, and residents were asked to conserve water. The request to conserve is now lifted.
Residents may experience discolored water in the immediate future due to the severity of this water main break. The most common question we receive is whether this water is safe to drink. The answer is YES. Although the water may be aesthetically unpleasing, it does not pose a health risk.
