Informational meeting regarding a proposed highway improvement project

The Schenectady County Department of Public Works will hold a public information meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Town of Niskayuna Town Hall to discuss a proposed highway improvement project at the River Road and Rosendale Road intersection. The meeting will be held in the Town Board Room at Town Hall, 1 Niskayuna Circle, Niskayuna, NY 12309.

River Road and Rosendale Road Intersection Improvement Project

Niskayuna, NY – The Schenectady County Department of Public Works will hold a public information meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at Town of Niskayuna Town Hall to discuss a proposed highway improvement project at the River Road and Rosendale Road intersection. The meeting will be held in the Town Board Room at Town Hall, 1 Niskayuna Circle, Niskayuna, NY 12309.

The meeting will begin with an open-house format, followed by a brief, formal presentation beginning at 7:00 PM. At the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the project with County representatives, ask questions, and provide comments.

The County is sponsoring the project to enhance transportation safety in the area, improve traffic flow, and reduce congestion at the intersection. Any suggestions and or comments made at the meeting will be considered by the project team as the project is progressed. Construction will occur in 2019. The project is funded through the Federal Highway Administration and the New York State Department of Transportation with 80% of project costs covered by FHWA.
