This morning, the Town of Niskayuna lost a great public servant, Edwin D. Reilly. Ed Reilly served as Niskayuna Town Supervisor for a total of 18 years. During his tenure as Town Supervisor, Ed Reilly presided over unprecedented growth throughout the Town. Among his many accomplishments, perhaps the most lasting is the construction of our Town Hall. Supervisor Reilly knew how to work with people of all backgrounds, and in doing so has taught us lessons we continue to draw from today. In addition to his service to the Town, Ed Reilly was an accomplished writer, teacher, and dedicated volunteer. Since leaving office, Ed Reilly saw his daughter, Diane Percy, carry on the tradition of faithful public service as Niskayuna’s Receiver of Taxes. All of us at Town Hall send our condolences to Mrs. Reilly, his children and grandchildren.
