Yesterday’s break, located along River Road immediately south of the Lynnwood Drive and Catherine Woods Blvd. intersection was repaired and pressure restored by 5 PM, sooner than originally anticipated. The pavement was restored Thursday morning. Traffic on River Road was detoured around the break site yesterday until 8pm and the Niskayuna Schools District, General Electric and KAPL were all notified at the time to help minimize traffic disruption.
The 36 effected properties, located on Catherine Woods Blvd, Riverhill Blvd and Cephalonia Dr, were notified directly to boil their water. The boil water order for these 36 properties was issued by the County Health Department as a precautionary measure and remains in effect. The order does not apply to any other customers on the Niskayuna Water system.
If you have questions, please check the web page. Otherwise call 377-8411 between 7:30 AM and 3 PM.
We apologize for any inconvenience this break may have caused, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
