Notice to all Phase 1B Eligible Residents, including those age 65* and older. There are currently three available paths open to help eligible New York State residents get a vaccine:

1.New York State has opened up a Vaccination Hotline to schedule appointments at

1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829) 

Phase 1B eligible residents may call this number now.

2. The State has created an online tool for those who are eligible to be vaccinated in the second phase to FIND A LOCATION.

3.  Schenectady County online vaccination PRE-REGISTRATION WEBSITE

The Niskayuna Senior Center is closed for all in building activities from Tuesday November 23 through Monday January 25. We are still operating our Gershons Meal program in a drive though format only. Call us at 518-372-4969 to reserve you Gershons Meal in advance. Seniors in need of bus service for appointments or grocery pick up please call for assistance as bus service will continue for seniors unable to drive themselves. Masks are required to be worn by anyone picking up a meal or utilizing our senior bus services.

All seniors  need to follow all posted protocols to assist our effforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, including bringing and wearing your own mask at all times.

Gershon's prepared, individually packaged lunches are available every Tuesday and Thursday at Noon for $5 per meal, pre-registration required, two options available each program day. Call us at 518-372-4969 by the Thursday before to place an order for the following week, meals are available for take home only.

Contact Tracing Measures in place (temperatures, name & phone numbers).

Masks and “Social Distancing Protocols” will be in place and require cooperation.

 

Dates for Exercise Classes scheduled inside are only tentative, and subject to change. These Classes may continue on Zoom, based on recommendation from NYS, Schenectady County and The Town of Niskayuna.
 

Staff can be reached at the Senior Center phone line 518-372-4969. Seniors who are in need of assistance connecting to local services not offered by the Niskayuna Senior Center, please call us and we will make every effort to connect you to the appropriate organization.

The Bus Driver can be reached on the bus phone at 518-495-6202 to schedule transportation.

For Niskayuna seniors, we offer transportation to the senior center and for medical appointments and shopping.

Calendars of events and daily menus are available at the Senior Center, Town Hall.

Please note the Niskayuna Senior Center will close or delay opening for inclement weather if the Niskayuna School District is closed or delayed.
