Parks
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo plan, oversee, and coordinate the municipal parks and recreation programs. To promote the parks and recreation activities and to insure maximum efficiency and use of playgrounds, parks, pool, and other recreation facilities. Assures that physical facilities are kept clean and in good repair at all times.
FacilitiesRiver Road Park, Blatnick Park, Avon Crest Town Park, Aqueduct Park, Riverfront hike and bike trail. There are pavilions for rental at River Road Park, Blatnick Park, the Community Center, and Avon Crest Town Park.
There is a golf driving range just south of Blatnick Park (enter at Recycling Center). Organizations who wish to use our any of our Park facilities or fields for reserved organized activities (including but not limited to league play, tournaments, training programs, etc.) log on to the Fields, Parks and Pavilions MLS Schedules page to see what is available.
