2024 Yard Waste Pick Up
Please be advised the weekly random pick up of yard waste will begin on
Monday April 1, 2024, (weather permitting). 
ALL YARD WASTE MUST BE IN A CONTAINER, BAGGED OR BUNDLED(tied)
barrels or containers used must be 32 gal and under, MAX 40lbs

Scheduled pick up  will start Monday May 6, 2024 (see the zone schedule below for your day).  Random pick up will resume Tuesday October 15, 2024 and continue until the end date of Friday November 29, 2024 (weather permitting).  As a reminder, please have all cans/bags/bundles out the night before since we start at 6:30am.

 All bags/barrels/containers must be under 40 lbs. and labeled with a YARD WASTE sticker.
THE BAGS DO NOT NEED STICKERS. 
 These stickers can be picked up at the Town Hall, Recreation Department, Transfer Station, or Highway Department

Approximately 89 miles of Niskayuna streets.  Snow and ice control, paving and maintenance of roads, signs and roadway marking, road drainage, tree and brush cutting, yard waste and loose leaf pickup

Sidewalk plowing of State routes 5, 7, and 146 (State Street, Troy Road, and Balltown Road) is done by the Town, but the roadways themselves are maintained and plowed by State crews.

The County Highway Department maintains the County roads that traverse the Town: Aqueduct Road, Consaul Road, Dean Street, Lishakill Road, Mohawk Road, Nott Street west of Balltown Road, Pearse Road, Providence Avenue, River Road, Rosendale Road, St. David's Lane, Taurus Road, Union Street, and Van Antwerp Road.
